CyanogendMod 12 is based on the stock Lollipop interface with layer of customization added as a cherry on top of a cake. CM12 for Note 4G is now available for the device. But this version of CM12 for Note 4G is likely yo have bugs because its in development phase. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G was launched in August 2014 and the smartphone is packed with decent specifications for the price point its being offered. The is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor MSM8928 with 4G capabilities and 5.5-inches HD display. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G also has 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.
Note:- This post is not for Redmi Note 3G. If you are having Note 3G don’t proceed further. This is CM12 for Note 4G.
Xiaomi devices are budget friendly certainly but not update friendly even flagship smartphones Mi4 and Mi3 are struggling for Official Lollipop update with MIUI. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G users can now enjoy Lollipop on their smartphone by installing CyanognenMod 12 on it. CyanogenMod 12 is based on AOSP roms thus it will provide you stock like experience with added benefits.
If you are upgrading your smartphone to newer version of Android then you have to clear cache, dalvik cache and system with user data to avoid boot loops.
Backup all your essential stuff, any mishap won’t be entertained later. CM12 for Note 4 is not personally tested by me so I cannot assure you about the bugs in this ROM.
Update – CM13 for Note 4G is now available Click here to download.
